The Macallan Harmony Collection In Collaboration With Jing

The Macallan Harmony Collection is an annual series of limited-edition single malt Scotch whiskies that explores innovative flavor inspirations and sustainable packaging using natural materials. The 2025 release (Volume V) marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration with JING Tea, the renowned British tea curator known for single-garden, terroir-driven teas.

This partnership celebrates the parallels between whisky and tea — two crafts rooted in nature, tradition, and time. Inspired by the rituals, aromas, and landscapes of premium teas, The Macallan’s Whisky Mastery Team crafted expressions that evoke the character of the teas themselves. 

1. ~Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea Whisky (Domestic Release)~

Macallan Harmony Collection Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea

• Inspiration: JING’s rare Phoenix Honey Orchid oolong tea from Phoenix Mountain, China — known for lush dessert wine aromas and exotic fruit character. 

• Maturation: Predominantly in sherry-seasoned American oak casks, with some sherry European oak and ex-bourbon influence for balance. 

• Flavor Profile: Warm honey hues with summery peach, apricot, floral honey, tropical fruit, toffee, and sweet oak notes — designed to reflect the tea’s aromatic richness. i

• Specs: ~43.9% ABV, ~750 ml. 

This is the main domestic expression from the JING collaboration, often labeled simply as The Macallan Harmony Collection Jing or Harmony V Inspired by Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea. 

2. Organic Cherrywood Lapsang Tea Expression (Travel Retail)

The Macallan Harmony Collection Jing Organic Cherrywood Sing

• Inspiration: JING’s Organic Cherrywood Lapsang — a British-style Lapsang Souchong smoked over cherrywood. 

• Availability: Travel retail exclusive (airports and select global duty free). 

• Flavor Profile: Rich toffee, dates, warming spices, ripe berries and charred citrus peel — echoing the smoked tea’s complexity.
