Takovo Sljivovica Plum Brandy is a traditional Serbian fruit brandy made from carefully selected ripe plums (often the “sljiva” variety) grown in the central-Serbia region, fermented and distilled in copper stills to capture the pure fruit essence. Bottled typically at around 40% ABV. You’ll find a rich nose of ripe plum, subtle almond and floral notes, a full-bodied palate of lush plum and dried fruit character, with hints of vanilla or soft oak when aged, and a smooth, lingering finish. It’s best enjoyed neat (ideally at room temperature so the aromas open) or lightly chilled in a small tulip or snifter glass, and makes a memorable aperitif or digestif that reflects the classic Balkan craft of plum brandy.
