Muskatna Lozova Rakija Grape Brandy is a Serbian grape-based brandy (rakija), distilled from Muscat-type grapes (muskatna) or other vinous varieties in the “lozova” (vine-derived) rakija tradition. It’s produced by distillers such as Takovo (and/or Vršacko Vinogorje) and typically bottled at around 40–47 % ABV.
Tasting Profile: On the nose expect aromatic, fruity Muscat grape aromas (think fresh white grape, floral hints), followed on the palate by grape-must sweetness, light dried-fruit and possibly a soft almond or vanilla edge from subtle maturation. The finish is smooth, clean, and slightly warming but not heavy.
Serving Suggestion: Best enjoyed neat in a small tulip or snifter glass, at room temperature or lightly chilled, so the grape character remains vibrant. Pair it with mild cheeses, fresh fruit, or enjoy it as an aperitif to highlight its fruity grace rather than power.
