Nose: Aromas of ripe plums, wild berry pie, freshly turned soil, new leather, sweet cigar, sage, and a hint of mint.

Palate: Flavors of mulberry, espresso, toasted wood, sweet spice, cherry, cocoa powder, black plum, cinnamon tea, and hints of cedar and nutmeg.

Finish: Extremely smooth tannins provide a supple, soft texture with a lingering finish of lush fruit and Mexican chocolate, accented by rustic notes of cinnamon and clove. 

Food Pairings: Mushroom risotto, grilled sausage, pork chops, ratatouille, eggplant parmesan, lasagna, balsamic grilled radicchio with shaved pecorino, braised lamb shanks with tomatoes and red wine, Canadian beef top sirloin tostada, chargrilled lamb cutlets with oregano and hot feta dressing.
