Badel Sljivovica Plum Brandy

Badel Sljivovica Plum Brandy is a Croatian plum brandy made by Badel (also known as Badel 1862) using ripe blue plums distilled in the traditional “rakija” method and then aged in Slavonian oak casks for added depth.  Bottled at around 40% ABV, it presents a bright plum aroma with hints of marzipan and dry spice, a bold and fruity palate featuring dried-plum and bitter-almond notes, and a long warming finish typical of classic Balkan plum brandies.  It’s best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a small glass so the plum character and oak maturation can be fully appreciated.
